First time in the history, Liceo De San Pablo organized an acquaintance party supervised by the Supreme Student Government last August 1, 2008. It was held in our school gymnasium which was still under further renovations. The theme for the said celebration was “Sama-sama Sa Saya, Kapamilya, Kapuso at Kabarkada”. The registration started at 3:00 PM and went on until 4:00 PM. The ceremony was hosted by the SSG Officers who were Prince Justice G. dela Cruz and Jeanina C. Casusi. The program began with an opening prayer and then followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Subsequently, our dear school principal, Dr. Zenaida M. Buenaseda gave her welcome remarks. This was followed by the inspirational message. The heat was on the moment the first year students presented their talents in dancing. After the intermission number, the candle light ceremony was initiated by the presidents and representatives from first year to fourth year students as they were singing the theme song of the celebration entitled “Getting To Know Each Other”. Another remarkable intermission number was presented by the second year students. The students became livelier when the SSG Officers introduced the games participated in by both students and advisers. Later, the foods for snacks were finally distributed. After a satisfying meal together, the program continued with the dance performance headed by the third year level. After which, the highlight of the program which was the “Search For Ms and Mr. Face/ Star Of The Night” was done along with the other special awards given. Chosen candidates from different year levels really showed off their pretty faces while walking towards the judges.

The night was not yet over, there were still more to come. The contest was followed by a scorching band performance of the fourth year students. After that, another thumbs-up dance performance was presented by some of the members of the faculty together with some LDSP performing artists. An “Eraserhead” band performance was made by some of the faculty members from different year levels. Another band performance was staged by the senior students while the socialization took place. The night flew so fast that students were not able to recognize the time. The program ended with a closing remark spoken by Mr. Raul E. Garcia, the Disciplinary Coordinator. Surely, the students will be anticipating again another memorable acquaintance party next year.
